Most forums now have RSS feeds installed as an add on. Can we get those turned on? With a RSS link on the toolbar it helps to track the current topics.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format) This pretty much explains it. Not sure how it works with IE. With Firefox a site with a radio beacon in the far right side of the address bar is clickable. When you click it you add a folder to your bookmarks toolbar. Once in place you click the folder and it will list 5-15 of the last messages posted. Many people using Firefox are unaware of the clickable beacon in the address bar.
Some forums only use it for the main forum. Others have it on the sub forums to give more of a selection. The Diesel Bomber site added them to each sub forum if you want to take a look at that one. You will see small radio beacons listed next to each sub forum.
When I saw RSS had been added I clicked it. Next Popup asks where you want to put your Folder and what to call it. Named mine Dmax and put it on my Bookmark toolbar. Now when I get on the net I click that folder and it displays the last 15 posts of the forum. I can click one or choose "open all in tabs" to read all of them. This is with Firefox.
IE can use RSS also but IIRC you need to download and install an RSS reader as it is not built in like it is in Firefox. Give Firefox a try. Made for guys like us as it has lots of mods for it.

If it looks like they are not being used I can get rid of them in a few minutes. So long as they are being used I don't have a problem supporting them.
