Can anyone tell me if it is any benifit to raising my rpm on my tunes.I only use my truck for towing and traveling.
I am asking this for the engine benifits and how high to raise my bshift points on my transmission.

No, I would used raised shift points for performance only. Such as drag racing or sled pulling.

without raised rpm, the raised shift points will cause tranny not to shift at wot; unless you let off the throttle pedal. so you do need to raise the rpm some

please stay on topic, this was a post about whether or not modifying shift points is necessary for towing/street driving.

sorry, i read it as you saying to raise the shift points only but you implied only for competition purposes
