Ok, so for about a year I've had this shake at idle with no codes, knocking, weird sounds, whitesmoke, nothing. Truck starts up immediately and never quits until told to do so. Banks six gun tuner, Egr deleted, banks intake ans cat back (i know cats are stupid). All injectors have worked fine, the only thing I know that is needing replaced is the pressure plate, but have there been previous instances with the lly and manual transmission that resulted in this. Like I said, no codes, no white smoke, just a rough idle and the fuel economy hasnt dropped at all. Really could use some help here guys.

If your flywheel is FUBAR (common with the stock flywheel), it can make the truck have a vibration/shake. It usually makes some noise though. Can you check balance rates?

sounds like the reluctor wheel is coming loose to me. mine did the same thing until one day it just quit.. pull the crank sensor out and look inside the hole to see if the wheel is still tight.

Harness has not been done, and to be honest I'm not familiar enough yet to do what is needed. When I engage the clutch the noise does go away but I figured that was my throwout bearing going dry. Don't know how to check balance rates. Same thing with the reluctoe wheel as the rest, I guess FNG really means it lol.

is it a stock clutch still? I thought I read that the dual mass flywheel of the stock clutch is junk and will do all kinds of stupid things. might be a good time to upgrade

Yeah its still the stock clutch, is say I'm around 450 HP at max, but never really bump it to it anymore, I guess I figured it was still okay due to the fact that's it has never slipped, bit its got a hair over 105 on it.

Ok. so I have decided to get this thing fixed before it takes one more step on the road, any suggestions on what to get to replace the clutch? Any suggestions on what else to do while we are in there? So far, from what I've gathered, I understamd that the stock clutch design can be faulty, also the reluctor plate, and checking the balance rates. Any other suggestions on what brand/style of clutch would be greatly asppreciated.

Pretty off topic, but something has been bothering me for a bit. Has anyone else at one point gotten 56 psi off the stock turbo? When I saw my max values I was like holy crap! Should I be expecting anything to break soon? I have never gotten it that high since, and it works fine, just food for thought:eek:

Well, I replaced the clutch annnnnnddd......problem solved. Didn't even know the truck could run that smooth. Never has ran as nice as it does now. When we yanked the tranny, you could see the bearings laying in the flywheel. The pilot bearing was just flat out destroyed and wollered out about a 16th of an inch more on one side than the other. The clutch diak was in almost perfect condition unfortunately, but i put in a new valair ceramic/kevlar singles disk thay should be fine. The procedure for replacing the clutch will be placed in another one of my furoms for anyone else willing to do this themselves. PM me if you have any questions about it. Thanks to the ppl who pointed me in the right direction. At least ten mechanics tried to say it was injectors, yeah sure, just because its a duramax does not mean it has injector problems people. Yall take er easy now!
