I had to jump off my truck yesterday... third time in two weeks! So after jumping it off I went and met a friend and sat and talked in my truck letting it idle for almost an hour and half mainly cuz I was scared it would be dead again if i shut it off. After that the passengr side battery was stinkin bad. Does this mean I need new batteries?

Yep bad battery. Replace both at the same time. No sense leaving the other if old killing the new battery when the the one you leave goes bad and takes the newer one with it.

If they are the original batteries your way over due especially if they are AC Delco's. But IF your smelling a odor like Rotten Eggs it could be a sign of over charging and cooking the battery.

I would check the voltage system out to ensure you don't cook new batteries.
