Those of you with roll pans that tow - do you have some pictures of you hooked up to share? I have a LBZ CCLB Dually and I'm thinking about going to a welded rollpan with a BigChevyHitch behind-the-pan setup.

My concerns are two fold:

1) My toy hauler is towed using a weight distribution hitch - I'm concerned about clearance. The tongue jack is electric so no crank to worry about. It's identical to this

2) Turning radius. I can only imagine with the ball being much closer to the tailgate that this will suffer - especially with a dually on tight turns. Currently I can turn the truck lock to lock without jack kniving it. Maybe someone has some pics or measurements of their truck to trailer clearance?

Depends on how long the shank on your hitch is and how far back the receiver is. I built my hitch so the receiver tube is basically flush with the roll pan, and my B&W tow and stow hitch has two holes. One sucks it up really close to the roll pan (maybe 1/2" gap), the other leaves about a 2" gap. The centerline of the ball is about 4" from the end of the tube where the vertical adjustment track starts. This probably doesn't make much sense, but to simplify, Depending on the setting, the center of my ball is anywhere from 4 1/2" to 6" behind my roll pan. I've never taken a measurement, these are just estimates going off memory. Anyway, I've made full lock turns and never had a problem jack knifing a trailer into my truck going forward. I've never had a problem going backward either, but I don't turn at full lock and hold it for very long in reverse. :D
