Rocky Mountain Diesel Shootout August 16th

Saw a few people post that they are coming, so I figured I would start a thread with all the info. Who will be participating/spectating? I will be there watching the dyno, and participating in the show n shine and ET class.

Industrial Injection’s Rocky Mountain Diesel Shootout on Friday August 16th starts at 10am at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City.

Dyno all day from Custom Auto with purses/prizes for highest HP($500), Best Guess, and lowest HP
Show-N-Shine with purses for Best of Show ($500), Ford, Dodge and GM, 1pm registration and judging at 2pm.
Prizes and product give-aways during the day at Rocky Mountain Raceways from Industrial Injection and DIESEL Motorsports sponsors.
Win a free dinner with Diesel Truck Limo service with MegaX2.com and DIESEL Motorsports during the day Friday register and drawing at 3:30pm – must be present to win!

Drag strip gates open at 2:30 pm for competitors, 4pm for fans and racing starts at 6pm, ending around 10pm!

$10 Admission for fans, Children 5-12 $5 and 5 under Free

ET Bracket (street trucks) $1000 for 1st and $200 for 2nd with 24 truck entry
Any street diesel truck can enter, it’s not how fast but estimated timing to run ¼ mile!
Quick Diesel 12.0 Index $1000 for 1st and $200 for 2nd with 16 truck entries
Unlimited heads up racing $1000 for 1st and $200 for 2nd with 10 truck entries.
ALL COMPETITORS WILL BE PAID AFTER EVENT WITH TROPHIES.

Got the truck all shined up for show N shine.

The only thing I don't like about detailing my own cars, is that I notice every paint chip, scratch, and it seems like they never stop happening for example I know where the 3 major scratches are, but no one will be able to find them

I will be there covering the event for Diesel World, but unfortunately can't make it until around 3:30-4:00. So I will miss some most of the dyno action I'm afraid. Hopefully there is a decent turn out for the races...

Dimitri did 1399hp on the dyno.

Unfortunately Dimitri only did that much, he was hoping for 1700, but someone "tripped on the power cord and messed up the dyno".

I ran 14, and got beat to the line in the second round.

Zach from starlite diesel won 12.0 class with his Dually.

If I remember right the bully dog truck beat Dimitri. Every time Dimitri would run he was all over the place on launches. He saw the bully dog do a sweet burnout, and then attempted to do a burnout on his rear wheels, the announcer even commented on how pathetic it looked

Now I'm at midnights hoping to get to a 13.299

I hoped on the dynoed and put down 602 HP. Pretty happy with it this season...broke into both the 12's in the quarter and broke into the 600's in HP.
