it annoys me terribly. had they set out to actually WANT to make that truck perform and hold up in the desert, it would be a different situation but Robby has flat out said this truck will never get abused and used in the desert. its a show queen. Makes 0 sense to me why you would build a truck like that and never intend to use it to its potential. Hes just doing it to attention and that gets me the most. That trans would NEVER hold up off road at even 6-700hp, forget about 1000hp (hell i have reservation the engine even would) but all the cronies on IG and FB think it will :rofl:

in the beginning when i though this thing was going to actually be used, i was excited because i know they were going to have to do some trick things for the drive train to hold up.... that never happened. Now if Geisers were building this thing, ooooohhhh mmmmyyyyy gooooood would i be drooling (id probably never leave the shop). They build some outside the box shit and its used to its full intention off road.

Come out here some time Corbin, ill take you down there and show you the 4wd RPM truck thats dual engine and dual trans. At the christmas party they had a new truck under a cover they were not showing off but Rick said it doesnt run on gasoline :D

Ahh I wondered why. I guess I hadn’t seen the part where it was a show queen. That blows

Dont get me wrong, i respect the fab work and talent that has been put into it but at this point, the dirt designs duramax would run circles around it. This thing is f-ing bad ass.

Probably could use bronco dana 44 4x4 beams and make it work.

Edit. I shouldn't say probably that's what you would do if you wanted I beams.
Definitely would be sweet.

How do you get 4wd from a setup like that? Or you dont and it is just 2wd? Otherwise pretty sweet

First and foremost its NOT 4wd. And its not practical to do I beam 4WD the packaging is a nightmare. You would be better off using the 2500 front dif w 930 inners and custom axle shafts w a long travel kit and then you will get 13 to 15 inches of travel if your lucky. 4 link or 3 link kingpin d 60 is a better option. Ive seen almost 20" travel on a kingpin sas.

buy a D50 ttb, put D60 knuckles on the end, lengthen the beams to required width, have custom axles made and get a bad ass driveshaft built, off you go! It would be best to swap to a 272/273 t-case though so you can run a sizable double cardan joint at the t-case.

95% of all these desert trucks are 2wd because you are carrying plenty of speed to get through what ever you want lol. the trend for 4wd long travel has been growing over the last 10 years though as proformance out of austraila has been coming up with brilliant ideas on center mounted diffs and they are STRONG. you just pay out the a$$ for them. but either way, overlanders and the rise in control arm 4wd vehicles (no straight axle front ends) has pushed for more LT 4wd as well in the lower end vehicles/prices.

i dont think you have quite looked into how easy it is to beam a vehicle, even 4wd :roflmao:. an SAS will never keep up with that truck above in the desert. the characteristics of how a straight axle upsets a vehicle under uneven terrain always rears its ugly head when you even the playing fields between beams and/or control arms.

Honestly, i dont care for "whoop scissors" but its damn easy to get 20+ inches of wheel travel from them and they are strong. the shit part about them is the camber change (as you can see), trying to get 0 bump steer (requires steering swingers as you see in pic i posted) and caster changes as suspension cycles but this can be limited if you move the radius arm pivots as close to the center of the truck as possible, just makes any kind of trans/t-case work a bitch. I highly considered doing a TTB D44 on my tracker but for the life of me i could not come up with an adapter to make a t-case driver side drop on my trans. i had considered a chevy 4.8, 4l60 and 241 or 231 but that was waaaaaay farther than i wanted to go. instead im going the hard route with making it all a-arm'd with a ford exploder IRS diff in the front, 930 inner cv and toyota outer cv. this will pull 15" of wheel travel with teh inner cv seeing about 24* of angle.

Lol Whoop Scissors. Yea I never said an SAS truck would keep up with a 2wd. I said it was a better option than whoops scissor 4wd =) And thank you for pointing out all the reasons why for me =) A DSD tcase is not a complicated deal. Oh And a 231 is a CHEAP way to go I did my ford case w dodge input and my own tone wheel for a couple hundy. :thumb:

I’ve worked with Joe and Ryan at HSP via tuning on this truck. It had a ton of issues when it first got to Joes shop. After Ryan fixing some of the bugs with the harness we finally got it to achieve full cubes. First 3/4 pull it popped all the boots and split the homemade piping. Joe and Ryan fabbed up a whole new piping kit for it that night. How Robby designed the turbos and where they weee mounted created some major lag issues. Idk how it would have ever worked out on the dirt and still don’t know. On a 1250uS it made 1100/1900 on 42s. At 8200lbs there’s going to be carnage on the dirt with that type of power and torque. Last I knew he ditched the parallel setup and is going to Garrett compounds.

I follow him on IG for the fab work and the duramax heartbeat action... He sure paints a different picture about his intended use of it once complete. He talks like he fully intends to compete with it. I guess [even more] time will tell for the "Million Dollar Truck". :cool2:

it will be a huge let down... he wouldnt be able to even compete in SCORE or BITD since it has no door bars/structure there amung other safety features and tubing issues.

This configuration doesn't make sense compared to what is normally done. It just seems like a traditional compound configuration may make more sense and provide a better overall experience.
