well, the whole point of the trip is the part time boss bought another trailer and needs it brought home.... from rawlins, wy to fairfield, ct...... so why not make a once in a lifetime trip out of it :D

plan so far (if my back can stand it) take i-80 to chicago, then take the historic rt 66 all the way to california then double back to wyoming for the trailer and haul azz home for cinco de mayo (bday with my other half, i told her to have a margarita waiting for me when i get there)

set aside 12 days for the whole trip. i realize i will not be able to take all the by-ways in this time frame. i'm leaving the 24th and have to be in wy the evening of the 2nd.

anything notable to see along the way??????? even thinking about stopping to see the mcrats if time allows and maybe pay mike l a visit for a trans?? still calculating profits to see if i can fit it in the budget.

total miles will be around 6000

well that excitement might have been short lived....:( dad is going in for neuro surgury on spinal cord this friday, may have to pick up his end of the workload here all week then haul ass out to wyoming and back as fast as possible cause he's gonna be laid up for the next 3-6 months!

I was going to say to make sure you go to Yellowstone, there is nothing on the planet quite like it, but I say you'll have to cut it short. If you can fit it in, head North and take 90 back east. Then you can at least take five and see devils tower, the nations first national monument....

well the scenic route is off :( dad goes under the knife friday am. got to step up the workload a bit and then off to wyoming and back asap. trying to persuade the other half to come still so we can drive straight through. i'll be stopping in elkhart, in for a couple hours again to pickup some parts from pace and wells cargo.

guess i'll have to come out some other time maybe i'll have a trans done by then tho :)
