Road runner issues

Recently I was having issues connecting to my road runner everytime I would plug it in it would not reconize the USB for the RR?

I triple checked all my settings and reloaded the drivers and still nothing?

I went on to the efi live website and asked for help and a few members posted that I should get rid of the moates cable and run a direct mini USB cable to the ECM ...... So today thr is what I did and bingo it's working again!!!!!!

For those of you that don't know you can not tune a ECM with the flash scan cable like you normally would with efi so if I couldn't fix this I would of had to buy a new ECM

I'll post some pics up later of the inside of a RR ECM and a stock ECM

Most likely the blue connector was fine on the ecm but the end that plugs into the ecm on the Moates Cable had a bad connection at one of the four pins on the actual cable.

It never gave me issues untill just the last month....Im glad i just went with the mini USB cable though

Did you replace that battery Simon? It's probably the reason you keep losing the programming if I was to guess.
