LBZ: Ring set

Could somebody enlighten me on where I could find a ring set for a single .020 over piston. I had some piston damage from some valvetrain issues so cyl 7 is getting a new piston. I haven't had much luck with finding a ring set for a single piston though. Any help is appreciated.

Dealer will sell you a single ring set but it aint cheap!

EDIT: you might call Guy (socal diesel), bet he will sell you a single set.

I called socal, hes going to look and see if they have any sets that are broken up already.

never mind that is the same part number that cardiac had posted. Is there a certain part number or ring set I should be looking for?

Mahle you can get full sets for like $250 or so....Single set is $150 from dealer......That post above about $37 for a full set has to be a single slug....if they even sell them that way which I havent seen...because I was looking a while back myself.

you want the 42160 or Factory GM rings (those two are comparable), Guy only sells his variant of the 42160 as well. the other part number listed does not come with a SS top ring and it will wear out quickly with mileage. that has been confirmed by me and many other big name shops. i hate the fact Mahle wont change the info cause even talking with them, they will not recommend the 41909.
