I would like some input on what it would take to put a dmax in a 3500hd. Want to use a 93-2000 style Chevy that would currently have a 6.5 or 454 in. How easy would it mount and who would be able to hook me up with stand along wiring harnesses? Would like to use a Alison trans as well. Thanks in advance

This was mine. http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/95-suburban-to-a-01-duramax-allison.10142/ The 3500hd with the built in 2 inch body lift should make fitment alot easier to do than mine was. I will add only do it if this is something you plan on keeping as you will most likely not get even a fraction of your money out of it selling it. And they've come a long way with the 6.5l. A p400, good turbo, and a db2 bull moose pump can put down very respectable power, and live doing it.

The LB7/LLY radiator/CAC fit nicely with triming/cutting of the correct support

One area where the added height has to help. Mine was a PITA to fit in, 2 more inches in height, and it would have been a walk in the park. Not to mention all the finnagling to get the engine height and angle just right so the steering linkage cleared the pan and manifold.

in the buckeye state
The LBZ newer cooling stack is bigger, 2" taller,
Custom engine mounts, it fit rather easily in the GM-455 chassis
