I bought a new pair of jounce bumpers since my old ones are badly hammered. Looks like a pretty simple job but I've been fooled before, any mysteries or tricks involved in replacing them?
No tricks, just jack up the truck so the suspension extends. Will give you more room to remove and install the bumper. Than it's just a 15mm nut on the top.
folks seem to prefer to replace them with the z71 jouncers, if you weren't already. The shape is more triangular and supposed to give a more progressive feel. I have not replaced mine yet, so I can't speak from direct experience. It might be worth searching.
