Posting this here for a larger target audience :D!

Does anyone know where to get replacement mirror glass? The local glass shops around here can't seem to find me a heated with a signal replacement mirror glass for my '07-it's the upper big mirror on the D/S..

Dealer wants $200!!!!!:eek:

What about the lower convex mirror? A buddy of mine busted his a few weeks back and needs a replacement.

angle the big mirror so that the top of the mirror is "sticking out" of the plastic body at the top and angle the spotter mirror the same way. Hook your fingers around and behind the bottom of the big mirror and pull the mirror upwards parallel with the mirror. There are 4 pressure tabs that hold the top mirror on. The spotter mirror doesn't come off. I found that out the hard way when I took mine apart :rofl:

I busted my little bottom one on a mailbox when someone swerved at me one night. Ordered a new one from gmpartsdirect i think its called, for about $24.

Tilt the mirror up, put a 2x4 against the bottom of it and give the 2x4 a good wack with a hammer. That should dislodge it. I say use a 2x4 because if you go hammer directly to mirror you may hit the convex mirror and break it like I did.:mad:

Oh by the way I need a D/S convex mirror and instructions on how to change it!:D There has to be a way........

Backed out of my single car garage side and caught my PS mirror on my 06 1/2 ton gmc on the door frame not paying attention. Broke the mirror and cracked the case. Went to the local dealer and asked what the replacement would cost, the regular parts guy was at lunch and his assistant said $595. I about crapped. Tried to find one through the wrecking yard used parts network and notta. Went ahead and ordered the damn thing. It's one of the heated, blinker and turns down when you back and totally in to go through the car wash. Regular guy was there when I went to get it. Discounted the price to $449.95. Still too damn high, but better than the first quote, gives you an idea of how much they mark that stuff up.
