Alright guys, I'm looming for some assistance. I am running an ats 4k turbo and I broke the down pipe. I got the new one in and working on replacing it. It looks like I have to take off the passenger up pipes to get it out and the new one in. Does anyone know if this is correct or is there a way to snake it in and out. Also, I'm looking at completely removing my egr cooler by making two block off plates. Does anyone have any insight on this, anything I should watch for? I'll keep the egr valve and such in place for a mount on the intake.

Wel if anyone else is wondering I got it done after two days. It required the turbo to be removed, the trans mount unbolted and jacked up. This allowed the engine to push away from the fire wall. In addition to that I removed the passenger uppipe. This made life a lot easier. While I was in there I made two steal plates to delete the full egr cooler, I left the valve since it supports the intake. Just got some heater hose and connected the two lines together, super easy and cleaned up the ending a lot. Now time to find a new project to do.

I hope you made the plate on the up pipe so that it is bolted to something to provide support for the up pipe. If it isn't, you will crack the bellows. Your best option is to cut off the EGR riser and weld a plate over the hole.
