I am in the process of removing all the glow plug wiring from the harness of my LLY. My question is why is the dark green and yellow wire from the plug go to the ficm and then to the big bale connector? Ive looked in the wiring schematic and it shows nothing of the wires going to the ficm. Just want to be sure it doesn't need to stay in place so the truck will run right.

Those may be the wires that allow the ficm to talk to the ecm. May want to double check. I could be wrong, but I thought the green and yellow were the wires that allowed the computers to talk to each other.

The dark green/yellow wires are the J1939 CAN (databus) wires. They go to the ECM, TCM, FICM, GPCM on an LLY. I forget where the splices are, but yeah you can just remove the glow plug wiring as long as the CAN hi/+ and CAN lo/- wires going to the FICM/ECM/TCM are still connected.
