How do you remove a ecm pin? I've got the pink retainer out but I don't know the correct way to remove the pin without pulling the wire out? I had somebody install my positive wire in the wrong slot

I tried removing one once, but couldn't get it out either. If you haven't put the ground in you can use that as the + and cut the other lead and ground it in the cab.

Well for anyone that needs to remove a pin for any reason heres how. If you look close to the harness, each pin slot has two holes. One that allows contact with the ecm and one really really small one that is used for releasing the pins. The little hole is lined up directly inline with the clip on the pin. You need to find something small to put in that hole to push the clip back. If any of you guys are formiliar with mini mites the crappie bait, the jigheads make a perfect tool if you cut the J part of the hook off. Use another small fish hook to instert into the other hole to push the pin at the same time. You'll be able to feel the pin gets "released" and just pull on the wire carefully.

Its a pretty tedious job
