You never think it will happen to you, but it will when you least expect it.

Two days ago I went to bed and the next morning my computer wouldn't turn on. I lost all of my doc files, 80+ tunes, music, pictures, etc.

New machines already on it's way. Intel i7-2600k, GTX 570, 16GB ram, etc etc.

Back up your files!!

pull the hard drive and throw it in another computer to see if you can get your stuff back.

I back mine up about once a week..

I just ordered a new i7 myself... should be here Tuesday.

The power light comes on and the drive spins, but the screen stays black and an external monitor receives no signal. Also, this is in my MBP with an integrated chip.

James, i already pulled the HD an I'll try to pull data off it when the new machine is set up. I got a corsair sealed internal water cooler so I can crank up the jigawatts a bit.
