My 01 came through with no fog lights, I bought the kit from GM to put them in, I have access to a Tech 2 just wondering if anyone knows if I can just reflash my self or do I need to take it to a dealership? I know you can do some mods to the BCM without a work order from GM.

What do you want the BCM to do for you??? The light in the cluster???

when you turn the fogs on in a 01-02, no indicator on the cluster lights up. only a little LED next to the switch

I was told it was in the BCM??????

Its all wired through the BCM. i dont think you will have to flash anything in though. I thought i remember reading somewhere that that already comes in the BCM, you jsut have to plug it all in

I believe like when you do need to get the calibration flashed into your TECH II to down load in order to excite the fog lamps.

I do believe I read that before

I know my 06 has the wiring in it for the fog lights and the fuse spot. I was looking at the kit and its plug and play add fuse into hole and add switch to dash and change add valance and lights and it will all work atleast on the 06/.

Ya your probably right ,I do recall reading way back I believe on the Page you needed to excite the option even tho it was pre-wired. The later years probably are plug and play
