I HATE oil leaks!
After my HTT install, I developed an oil leak between the block and the new oil line fitting. I do not like the washer/o-ring combo seating flat on the block where a taper seal used to exist with the galley drain plug.
I had a machine shop cut the threads off the new fitting and weld it to the original plug, then bore the plug with the ID of the new fitting.
The guy even pressure tested the fitting for me after I told him it was for a turbo oil feed line . All that for $45.00. I could have done it myself for less, but it still works with the 19mm socket, and I would have had an issue pressure testing the fitting. The new fitting goes in tomorrow night, praying for no more oil leaks.
Here is the result. The drain plug is on the left and the oil line fitting is on the right.
