:D

Got my Water/Meth kit yesterday and started installing. SO far so good. For the most part I am impressed with it so far. We will see how it works afterwards to see if it was worth the $$$ or not.

As you can see my box space is already heavily occupied so the tank in the box is temporary. I am getting one to mount to the frame when ever Labonte releases them-unless I build one first.

Lotsofmiles hit the dyno with his snow kit and said he got a 100 more rwhp!! He was using a 50/50 mix. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273018
I plan to run only 10% meth-just enough to lube the pump! Otherwise I would just run straight water.

on dyno #'s for water meth .................... what kind of power gains you can get are going to be very dependant on how much fuel you have availible , on my truck with a very heavy fuel tune( when i had just my S300 ) i only gained 19 hp and 60ft lbs , the guys that show big gains air the ones using small tunes were the extra fuel provided via meth really shows . thats why on a stock tune the gains are so big .

I would think air would be a bigger factor than fuel when comparing gains, but I've never hit the dyno to prove it.

It is thats why if you add the water/weth to a very heavily fueled tune there is not enough air to really take advantage of more fuel. the gains i showed are probably from the water and cooler IAT maybe , and not the Meth

My snow stage three added 20rwhp on the dyno. My first run was 480.1 then I switched on the w/m it was 500.5hp. That was running 10% meth.

Methanol as a lubricant?? That doesn't sound right to me:confused:

Methanol is a hydrocarbon based material. Hydrocarbons add lubricity. It is reccomended the pump be run with a mix of water methanol. I'm going to ASSume that it is to help lubricate the moving parts in the pump to help make it last longer seeing as it is all metal components-not plastic.

Hmmnnnn, then I guess you need a bigger turbo(s) then!!:D

those test were done when i had my S300 as a single , i dont have the W/M anymore . my EGT issue's got B**** slapped and are no more  even though right now i could probably pick up a fair amount of power from adding it with as much air as i have .

Well, I got the wiring done for the power/ground/duty cycle and hooked up the boost hose. Test fired the unit and everything works-so far so good. I need to find out what size of bolt it is that goes into the solenoids and build a bracket to mount them. Then I need to drill the intake manifold, plumb the hoses, mount and wire the pump. Hopefully tomorrow evening it should be all done.

I'm going to the bush to drink beer with my buddies.:hello:

My 102 RWHP from 50/50 meth was on stock tune.

couldnt get the truck to stay in 4th with the 6 gun plugged in(and they tried multiple times), unplug it plug it the dyno computer and it goes to factory tune.

Finished the install yesterday. I haven't had much time to play around with it, and won't see the truck for a couple more days as it is in the body shop, but so far, it seems to be workng. I did notice egt's still comes up with the WOT on the hot tune, but it does come up a bit slower. Needs more testing.

In toll, the install went fairly well. Removing the intake to drill the holes for the nozzles sucked. But the hose connectors make everything quite simple and nice to work with.

God I need to buy a camera!

In the end, the kit was quite complete, but definetly a generic one. I had to buy the following stuff to finish the install:
4' of synflex hose-of which I used all of!
4 - 1/8" NPT collars to install the nozzles in straight into the manifold instead of with the suplied 90's and also to join the hose with the required extra length
$45 worth of gaskets for the intake manifold
4' vacumn hose for the boost pressure sensor
1 - Mini Fuse tap

I still need to make a bracket to mount the solenoids. I am putting them right behind the oil filler to minimize the hose lenth between the solenoid and nozzles, as well as to tuck them away in a nice empty space. My firewall is all tied up with other stuff.

So in the end, a selection of straight and 90* fittings for the nozzles would have been nice, more synflex hose, a little longer USB cable for the display, and if the boost sensor was a pressure transducer instead of a hose, this would have also been nice. The supplied boost hose was too short-an extra 2' would have been nice. Also, I don't know why but a large ATO fuse tap was included and I don't know of any vehicles being built today that use these fuses so I had to buy a mini fuse tap.

So far so good. More to come after some testing.

Still running water till I get it figured out. Then I am going to start hitting it with the meth. Only 10% though.:baby:

Ah, Dale, Hit it with 50% ;):D:rofl:

I fisished mine and put 30% in for the first run, both nozzles on, and turned the Vari-cool up all the way! Kinda like a mini shot of nitrous when boost hit 7psi and it came on
