running our business files out of it. Mainly quickbooks and other small files. we work all over the place so we wanted to set something up that we could log into from any where.

It's overkill for what we need but we didn't want a whole lot of trouble getting it working so we decided to go this route.

I'm almost embarrassed to ask but what exactly does a server do? Is it basically a big storage center for a network of computers? I know very little about computers outside of personal use, single computer setup.

That's a long stat sheet though. For me, that's about like that recent trans. video that was posted with the guy throwing out big terms one after another that amounted to nothing more than jibberish. :rofl:
