rebuilding to stock

I have slipped my trans 3 time now. First 2 times were passing cars with an EFILive tune with 2500ms fuel. I knew that was too high, but thought I could control my foot....I can't. So now I have 1800ms as the high fuel rate and pulling a 10k trailer through the hills the truck down shifted into 4th and slipped. It had shifted several tims on the trip and held. I'm assuming at this point, if I put the engine program back to stock, the tranny is already damaged and won't hold while trailering? So if I want to put the engine tune back to stock and fix the trans, can I just replace the clutch packs or is there more to it? I'm not looking to spend money on a stage IV right now.

Thanks

If you are gonna pull the trans you might as well have it built, put a stage 3. I could not pull the trans and have it rebuilt back to stock. I would find the money if needed. Just my .02 tho. Not trying to tell you what to do by any means.

You could just do the transgo kit and new stock clutches and do it yourself for pretty cheap. I have a shim somewhere to raise the line pressure to.

If you're going to do it yourself, you can build a full trans for a decent price.... There's really no point to rebuilding it to stock... Talk to Mike L, he can hook you up.
