Hello everyone. I figured I would start myself a thread to ask questions about my rebuild I am working on. I'm hoping all the pros chime in. Thanks in advance!

1) how to install (with success) front and main seal with out seal driver(tool is not in the budget)
2) How in the f*** do I get the coolant pipe out of oil collet housing.

That's the first two for now. I'm waiting to get my block from machine shop and pistons to come in the mail

If you want to not have those main seals leak you need to just save and buy the tool or barrow it from someone. Would really suck to put motor back in and spend all that money on gasket kit just to tear it back down and spend another $500 in gaskets because it's leaking in 100 miles

Is there a trick to get the pipe out. Is not threaded right? And can the install tool be rented from local parts store

Nope no trick comes out pretty easy once you pull oil cooler and water pump. Not sure about being able to rent tool from local auto parts store kind of doubt it. I have them but lent mine out already and don't know when I'm going to get it back or else I would ship it to you to borrow if u payed shipping.

Spray some lube all around the gap between the pipe and cooler. Twist pipe gently and pull. Its just an o-ring.
