Rear brakes getting hot

Earlier this week I noticed a really bad smell coming from the back of the truck, could feel the heat coming off of the driver's side rear wheel and realized it was the pads I was smelling. Would only happen after about a half hour or so of moderate stop and go driving. I did the rear brakes last year just as a preventative maintenance kind of thing, no issues until now.

Tore it down... Pads had cracks in them and werent sliding freely, guide pins were a little corroded but not terrible, however the rotor looked perfectly fine and not warped(no deposits noticed). Picked up new pads and pins that night. Put everything in paying extra attention to the slides and where they mount on the bracket, making sure everything moved/slid freely.

Today I checked after the same routine drive that would heat them up. Same corner is still getting hot BUT not nearly as hot as before, all other corners cool to the touch. Going to try to tear into that side again this weekend but curious what should I look for next? Caliper *seemed* to be fine (pistons compressed and didnt appear to be sticking), e-brake isnt hanging up, and the wheel spins freely when up in the air. I hate to throw parts at it, but second-guessing not replacing or at least turning the rotor, and as I said the caliper *seemed* to be ok... Those are the only two things I can think of to look at next. Any help or info would be appreciated, feel like this is going to be something simple and I'm having an extended brain-fart...

On just one corner though? Wouldnt water contaminate the whole system or could it just be trapped there?

maybe the rubber line to the caliper on that wheel is collapsing internally and is keeping pressure on just that wheel.

flush wouldnt be a bad idea at this point, doubt it has ever been done. I've read about lines doing that also and will keep it in mind

So you got new slide pins, but did you clean and relube the slide pin cavity?
Also, have you checked the parking brake pads and adjustment? Friction on the inner drum would heat the whole thing, seen it happen, literally seen, the inner part of the rotor hat was glowing in the dark...

X2 on the water in fluid or a bad line. Also seen a caliper that would randomly seize then Pistons would return when they wanted to.

Caliper or line. The line is where I started and it turned out to be the caliper. But that was on the front. I would check the pads for the emergency brake first. I think my caliper was 59 at Napa for the caliper and mount. Comes with all new hardware as well.

The pass side rear brake would hang up on my 2011. Dealer fixed it since the truck had about 2k miles on it. They ended up replacing everything on that side of the axle because it was pretty much f*cked.

missed all the replies, figured I'd update. Ended up being the line, which I figured out after replacing pretty much everything else and going through a lot of fluid lol, luckily brake parts are cheap. Went ahead and did all the rear lines while I was at it, so far so good.
