I dropped a SCV in the truck 25K miles ago, have been running about a 480hp tune ever since. I romp on it pretty regurally, but not a bunch of boosted launches and such. When I do pull it isnt very heavy, and the few times i have pulled i took it pretty easy.

All of that was with the stock turbo, now, same tune with a BD supermax i keep popping a p0700 and a p0735. it also popped a '4th gear incorrect ratio' prior to me seeing the 5th.

Everywhere I'm reading I'm seeing 'p0700 and p0735, time for a rebuild....'. is that what im up against?

thanks

I dont know how much of this is true, a buddy of mine drove my truck about a week ago and said it was shifting hard under moderate throttle (1/2 or so), the other part is i dont know what kind of difference it makes for me.....

Under a big a$$ rock...
Your trans shouldn't be limping so soon. I have put 70-80,000 miles on my SC IV I built myself 2 years ago and its still shifting like a champ. 50% of that has been towing and my truck only gets one tune and thats RACE!!! I don't have a nice right foot and am always itching for those 4x4 boosted launches.

Lots of guys with more miles than you have on one, I have to think that there must just be a small problem.

A lot of heavy footing, big tunes, playing, etc. will eventually take it's toll on a transmission. The mileage depicted could be short quarter mile trips:rolleyes:. We all know the old addage "If you want to play...."

Yea, the ole addage 'you have to pay to play' really holds true. I do play alot, and, umm, yea....

So..... Monday night at midnight I left sunny Beaufort, SC and made the 8 hour trip to Ft Walton Beach. Dropped the truck off and headed to Pensacola for the night. The truck was ready before I woke up from my afternoon nap....

Picked the truck up Tuesday afternoon and everything was in order. It felt like a new truck again. C2's and C3's were toasted, yea, who'lda thunkit.

I've heard rumors of SC customer service not being what it used to be, but Joan didn't seem to mind the 30 'help im lost....again...' calls, and the guys that get their hands dirty were just as friendly and helpful as they were two years ago. I even got to see some new toys they have in the works....

That sucks.... I seem to have found a direct relationship between those two codes and a heavy right foot.....

You going to fix it yourself?

Be very carefull on the custom tunes you load in your trucks. There are people out there that should not be tuning. Fueling during a shift is critical and can make or break your trans no matter who built it.

I'll settle for a half a second more in the quarter and try keeping the tranny where it belongs...under the truck
