So I finally figured out how to look at my balance rates. While looking at them I realized I don't know what I'm lookin at. Would any one care to explain? Please. My truck is running like crap and I am trying to figure this out.

Balance rate is how much fuel is added or subtracted from a cylinder to maintain a consistent crank speed.

That's the spec Gm calls for but I have seen issues as little as 2mm+/- negative seems to be less forgiving.

negitive means the injector has pulled back fuel in relation to the other injectors firing before or after in the firing sequence so it doent really mean anything is less forgiving, its more pointing to a probable issue.

Injector Balance rates are not the only determining factor in finding a bad injector. You could have an injector reading 0 and have a horribly bad return rate thats causing a low rail pressure code. its just one step in a diagnosis.

But if we are JUST looking at balance rates. 90% of the people/techs out there go by what i posted for specs
