RDL Profab manifolds ports off center??

Im about to install the RDL manifolds and up pipes, I just noticed some of the ports are off center. The gasket matched the head, the cut out in the gasket is longer but the hight matched exactly the ports on the head. If I lay the gasket on the manifolds now, I can tell some of the ports are off center.
Anyone noticed the same thing?
Looks like I have to port the manifolds with a grinder...

I had to gasket match a set also. I used some new bur bits and a right angle drill. The low speed will keep the shavings from flying all over you. Worked good and took me about 3 hours for both. I finished with a Milwaukee die grinder and a flapper wheel.

The set I did was not off as much as yours. The ports just needed to be opened up side to side.

you'll always get inconsistencies with heads and headers / manifolds. the trimming your doing is an old racing trick called port matching.

The ATS manifolds i had were perfect even after i got my heads ported i couldnt use them due to running the stock down pipe so i sold them and bought the rdl cast flows and had to port match them as they were undersized for my porting.

I'm pretty sure the port size of the heads is smaller than the gasket opening. The manifolds were probably designed to match the stock heads.

Ive bought many sets of headers (manifolds) and have never had this issue. Only one set of headers gave me problems to install and that was due to shipping error.

Rolf, at least you got it taken care of... Do you have a pic of the manifold itself????

The new PPE manifolds match up perfectly! All I did was polish the runners with 80 grit flapper wheels on a die grinder.
