As I am in the process of building my RCLB 2WD street toy I am looking for a solution for a driveshaft. I have a question into Mark B. as too if he could have a driveshaft made as he has a 1 piece with a old Ford slip built into it.

But are there any other options out there? Do they make a slip yoke for the 2WD Allison 1000? Does anyone know the measurement from U joint to U joint on a RCLB 2WD truck? I had a local place quote me $450 and up depending on the length of the driveshaft.

On my last one I had to have a driveshaft made. Had to put in slip yoke on drive shaft. Measure on yoke face where u-joint strap bolts to. Make sure truck is on ground under its own weight when measuring. Then the drive shaft company can factor in The slip yoke. If you have the extra coin go with a 4 inch and upgrade your yokes and u joints to 1480s. Mine cost almost 500 for shaft and joints. My first 3 inch one I had made blew apart.

No such thing as a slip yoke for 2WD, only bolt on yoke. When I converted Casper to 2WD for Bonneville, we had to have a company build a slip yoke in the drive shaft. It wasn't a big deal.

Here is a picture of my 3 inch one that failed. But maybe show them this picture. Also a lot of places don't make driveshafts for the length you need.
