Anybody ever have trouble with a rattling noise from an Autometer mechanical boost gauge?
Mine rattled after I installed it and wouldn't go past 15lbs and once it hung up and stayed at 7lbs and wouldn't return to 0. I installed a new compression fitting and it went away and the gauge would boost to 20lbs. Now I noticed it rattling again and won't boost past 14lbs, I took it out and tightened the fitting now it rattles and goes to 17lbs on a hill it used to go to 20lbs. Anybody have a suggestion? If I tighten it more I think it will strip. Should I just pull the gauge and send it back?

Send it back and/or get an electrical gauge-in my experiences they seem to give less trouble and are a little more accurate.
A needle should NEVER stick unless there is a problem with the gauge.
But that's just me.

Thanks for the input. I will check and see if Autometer offers an electric boost gauge in the Cobalt series. I already have the pyrometer and don't want them to be different gauges.
I think I will send it back, I just didn't know if there may be a way to fix it without sending it back and having an empty hole on my gauge pod.
