Here's the deal. I had a suncoast 5 and it always did range shift inhibited when it was cold and wouldn't go into reverse and would be stuck in 3rd or 5th gear. I never really did anything about it because if I let the truck warm up it was fine. I managed to get a good deal on a suncoast gmax with a ML converter and billet input and I switched them out hoping it would fix my problem. I put on a BT lockup box at the same time. Now it only does the range shift inhibited when the transmission is operating temp AND it seems like it only does it when I use the lockup box. Once I turn the truck off for 15 minutes it works fine. When it does the range shift it runs through the forward gears fine but will not go into reverse. Could it be the box or is it throwing a code when I lock it that won't let it go into reverse or is does that even have anything to do with it? My brake and abs lights are also on if that matters at all. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
