I have a Suncoast V by NADP's Trans Shop. I get random hard shifts, usually when it's colder but not always. Most often its from second to first rolling to a stop sign. Is this normal, I mean jerk me forward hard. Also takes a while to get out of first when it's colder too. I just want to make sure I am pro active. It is only I think 6 or so months old and if there is a problem I want to address it while I still may get warranty. Thanks for the help.

It's getting a pan and a spin on tomorrow, I'll cut it open and take a look. I'm thinking 20 thousand max.

You waited too long for the spin on change. Should be change every 10K maximum. The more aggressive you drive, the more often you need to change it.

Whats wrong with dropping the spin on and cleaning the magnet keeping a quart of your choice of fluid around ,fill the filter, stick the clean magnet on it after lubing the o-ring and spin the new one on?

Right on thanks guys, the hard shifts started after the 1st or 2nd thousand, I haven't driven it very hard as I am having fuel rail pressure (cp3) issues. I will make sure to keep below 10k from now on thanks Mike.

If you do talk to NADP good luck on the warranty. I had mine done about 2.5 years ago and had the same thing in the 3-4 upshift (would do like a double shift and then bang hard into 4th). When I talked to them like two or three months later about cause I initially thought it was just learning but it never got better and has not ever gotten better they told me that is the way it was and there was nothing they could do about it. I have never gone back to them and if I ever get the money to built a engine, I will have the tranny redone (this will all be done by Ted at MPL). There have been a few other cases of NADP trannies that have been doing the same thing!! I would try them and if they do nothing talk to Ted at MPL and have it looked at and then try and get money out NADP but I doubt anything good will come from them!

Ya, I have been talking with Ted, he will get all my business from now on. I have had trouble with NADP from the begining myself. Thanks.
