Went up to Truckin For Kids and ran the 1/8 mike at Irwindale. It was an awesome time sadly my times SUCKED but I was just out there to have fun. Gotta do tie rod sleeves cause the wheel spin in 2wd was horrible so was my R/T lol need to remember to leave on the third yellow not green.

Needless to say I'm hooked and looked at lowering the truck a little and ditching the 285/75 R16s and going with a 305/40 R22. Plus tie rod sleeves, and the cognito idler/pitman support and centerlink brace. Anybody have any input on what will bring down my sad 9.80 1/8th time?

I went for my first time last weekend and had a blast. Remembering everything at the light is takes a little getting used. Now I'm starting to put together a shopping list.

4wd will help your time a boatload. You'll actually get to feel that new trans do some work. You get that thing set up right and high 12s arent out of the question. I would keep the 16s though, bigger wheels will slow you down.

Thanks for the heads up chris. I didn't think about that. I am just looking for something wider and more traction friendly

The lighter the tire and wheel combo the better your off if they stick. You'll get it figured out and you'll be able to run the number.

you get some braces and sleeves and with a good 60' you'll probably be low 8's in the 1/8th. 4 wheel launch is where these trucks shine.

I belive Rob sells everything you need also. Sleeves, idler and pitman arm braces and spring clamps.
