Cooler lines will see about 85 psi. Moving the cooler higher in the stack might put it in the dead zone where the fan will not be able to pull air through it because the cooler will be too close to the clutch on the fan.
You might pick up more air flow at higher speeds but lose air flow below 35 mph.

Or you can leave it where it is and run a stock LB7/LLY cooler in series above it. All you need is the line from the radiator to the cooler for an LLY then make your own line to go from one cooler to the other. I have mine setup this way (except I added an LBZ cooler) and it stays cooler and cools off faster after a pass.

Essentially it works like this:

If you have and LB7/LLY:

Get a stock LBZ trans cooler
Get the line that goes from the radiator to the cooler for an LBZ
Remove your stock line from the radiator to the stock cooler
Mount the LBZ cooler under your stock cooler - where it normally sits on an LBZ.
Install the new line from the radiator to the LBZ cooler.
Make your own line to connect the 2 holes you are left with - I cut the metal ends off of the stock line I removed and with a little tweaking got them lined up and welded them together into a solid metal line.

If you have an LBZ:

Get a stock LB7/LLY trans cooler
Get the line that goes from the radiator to the cooler for an LB7
Remove your stock line from the radiator to the stock cooler
Mount the LB7 cooler above your stock cooler - where it normally sits on an LB7/LLY.
Install the new line from the radiator to the LB7 cooler.
Make your own line to connect the 2 holes you are left with.

Now you have 2 coolers mounted one over the other, ran in series, and only had to make one line to connect them.

seems just as expensive as going with a setrab cooler? Or am I missing something?

Good answer.:D Using two restrictive coolers in series makes no sense. You just slowed the return fluid even more to the waiting planetary gears that are anxiously awaiting lube. The idea is great except the coolers.
Want to do a test? Take your old cooler an blow through it. Try the same thing with a Setrab.
Return fluid from the cooler IS lube for the planetary gears. If it doesn't get ther in time, to hell with the cooler temps as you lose.

Unless the setrab is $78 - you buy a used cooler for $50 and the line for $28
