What do I want my rail pressure to be around. I don't have a way to log it as I do not have my own v2 but I was playing around in the race tune the other day and I can watch rail pressure from my cts. It dropped down to around 20k. Is that good or bad? If its bad does it sound like a new cp3 is due or do you think if I put a lbz reg on would it help. I do have my raptor turned down quit a bit could that making the rail pressure drop cause it not pumping enough to keep up?

24,000 psi is ideal. But it all depends what your commanded rail pressure is. You need to check you actual rail pressure vs. your desired your pressure.

I'll have to see if I can check that with the cts. Man after my family vacation next month I'm going to be buying me a v2 so I can start logging.

on a 01 chevy you should be desiring 23k. 3k under desired isnt bad if your runnin a big 2900+ pw tune. if your under that pw and its still at 20k, something is getting tired or needs adjusting

My trucks desired rail pressure is 26,500. Actual in my big tune at WOT is 24500 is that bad? I have a race valve and a raptor pump. Am I having a performance loss by not achieving the last 2k rail pressure? In my other tunes desired is spot on just the big one is it low.

Ok did some testing to day, in the race tune the desired is 27k and it falls to 21k at wot. How does that sound?

That sounds perfectly normal. If its not throwing a low fuel pressure code I wouldn't change it. Thats still enough pressure to make power.

21,000 I don't like, maybe cut the fueling back. Or you could run less voltage on the reg at wot to try and gain abit more rp... this might cause the tune to run choppy though fyi

27k seems like a lot too.

I guess 29,000 is bad then? lol
