Just curious, anybody out there running the Isspro rail pressure gauge? Wondering how it gets it readings and how accurate they are. Do they tap the factory rail pressure sensor? Looking into getting one and wondered if they are worth the money. Thanks guys!

What about those of us who daily drive our trucks and don't want to lug around a laptop and V2 cable...or deal with the wires runnin all over the truck? I know I can log rail pressure with EFI Live, but I would like to have the ability to keep an eye on my rail pressure all the time. Just wanted oppinions from people that have them.

Why is that?
Because I don't see the use in buying something that is redundant. The way I see it, a rail pressure gauge is a tuning tool. When I am tuning, I use EFILive and log rail pressure.

LarryJewell has or had a really nice gauge that would read multiple PID's one being rail pressure. Pm him and see if he's got some info.

What about EGT? Boost? We don't see this the same I think. When a person is running parameters outside of what is "stock" its never a bad idea to keep an eye on it. You are assuming that it will always remain the same, but do you make that assumption about EGT or boost pressure? Or do you keep those gauges in sight? cause you can also log those with EFI...all you need is a pyro probe. :) Not bein ignorant Josh, just stating how I see it.

That's fine. Everyone has their own opinion. The only reason I made the second post is because I was asked why I thought it was a waste of money. If you feel it's necessary and useful, it's your money to spend as you see fit. I'll have a total of 6 gauges in my truck once I get them all installed. Primary turbo boost, overall boost, overall drive pressure, EGT, oil temp, and lift pump fuel pressure. Some of those gauges are only really needed for tuning, but I figure I'll just put them in permanently.

I agree with Josh, its a waste of money.

If you want something to look at rail pressure without dragging the V2 around, get the Aeroforce Interceptor gauges.

I have a PPE rail pressure gauge with black face I'll be happy to sell someone. It was on the 06 when I bought it. I agree with Josh, probably not a real important gauge for daily driving, and certainly not any good when you are racing. I don't have time to look at anything when I'm racing. If you are losing rail pressure I want it logged so I can see what's going on, watching a gauge isn't going to do it for me. The only gauges I want to be able to see when I'm driving is engine temp, tranny temp, total boost, drive pressure and EGT and lift pump pressure gauge, especially with these quiet pumps just to tell if they are working. Rest are nice but for tuning only. I'd love to have charge air temp both pre and post innercooler, anyone know if they are available??:thumb:

I have a ISSPro Performax Rail pressure gauge installed. It has a splitter that taps into the factory rail pressure sending unit on the passenger side of the motor.

No I do not need it for anything other than I was installing the Performax gauges and thought that I was having other issues. Since my truck is a daily driver, and I do not have EFI, it was an easy choice to install it so that I could watch rail pressure to see if I was having FPR issues. Especially since the factory FPR has 125k on it.
