could mixing the green and orange coolant gel up inside the radiator and cause it to not circulate? i have always ran green 50/50 because thats what was in it from the factory. after the 2nd headgasket job the "mechanic" put in the orange! i took the truck back to him and told him it was overheating and he says he pulled the radiator and it is 3/4 clogged! help guys!

nobody put bars leak in it right? I've heard of a reaction of the two, but not clogging. see if you can send it out to a radiator shop to get flushed. and 50/50 green is not factory, DEXCOOL is.

GM hasn't used green since the mid to late 90's. Dexcool is more forgiving on aluminum. should even say Dexcool on bottle or cap somewhere.

if im not mistaken when mixed they will form a gel that will clog lots of things. i would do a cooling system flush to make sure that it is all out.

Don't mix coolant types, regardless of label statements. The organic acid chemistry is not compatable with high silicated formulas (old green), and will usually result in a heavy precipitate. Not very friendly to you water pump either.

If your radiator has the problem, your motor does as well. I would flush well, and even consider using a degreaser.
