couple of questions... With the learning allison should I tow in OD or in TH? The reason behind this is I tow a 6K 14ft every friday and then my TT which is 11.5K. When racing, I hit TH. It has learned one way so when I get to the track it shifts funny trying to learn. Any solutions to this from the guys who use there trucks to work and Race? THX

Don't race in T/H. Some trucks actually are faster when not in T/H.

Thx, any price on what a TCM runs.

check with Guy @ Socal IMHO it is really not needed... there are different TAPs for WOT and normal driving... Right before the track i go WOT and let it row through the gears a few times then it never gives me a problem at the track.

You have to see if your truck is quicker with T/H or not. And the tcm thing, some people run through the gears a few times to get it to learn, but that second tcm thing wouldn't be a bad idea.

 Every truck is different. IIRC Wendy is .2 slower with t/h on. Then again I launch in 2nd gear :D

I have been thinking about trying to launch in 2nd to get into 3rd gear sooner and lockup sooner as well:D but i doubt i will try it

Should I tow in OD and save my TH for racing?

Personally tow in what ever you want... when you know you are going racing the day before go make so sweeping 20-85mph WOT runs and your trans will be just fine. Don;t put that much thought into it:)

I would use TOW/HAUL for what it was meant-TOWING and HAULING!:D
It's a daily driver not a race truck right?

:chicken2:

I think the reason Wendy is slower in T/H is because T/H will make the Conv. lock sooner which doesn't work so well with 2nd gear launches:thumb:

I dunno looking at the logs T/H versus Normal the TC locked the same and shifts felt the same... maybe my truck is as retarded as its driver:D I do have lockup problems though so i dunno
