How much pressure on the low side of a 134 ac system suppose to hold? The gauges I have are r-12- r-22 gauges? Will that work or does anyone know? It's on an 01 lb7!

The gauges will work as reading pressure goes. Just not gonna see the 134-A temperture conversion. You will need to have the adapters to connect from your gauges to a 134-A system.

If you really need to check, go get you some R-134a gauges, cheap ones should be fine.
Dont want to cross contamitate things, even the smallest amounts of refigerant, or PAG and Ester oils.

All vehicles are a bit differant in pressures

Low side: 70ish High side: 180ish

 Yup ambiant temps are gonna affect it too. I forget, these trucks are CCOT systems (cycling clutch, orifice tube) Im too used to BMW expansion valve systems, run a tad bit more psi.

If your having A/C issues, post up whats goin on and if you can high and low side pressures. Might be able to lead you to a fix.

Anyone wanting to see the max cooling temp, turn your blower fan on the lowest speed. the air goin through the evaporator has more time to loose its heat. And if your stationary, give the engine say 1000-1500 rpms.;)
