They were orange/red........
They didn't delaminate. Delaminating is the clutch material coming off the steel. These were burning/burnt so bad it took the friction off the steel. Once they get hot enough and warp the continual drag will just destroy them.

Yep, this is my original upgrade an SCIII. I got 160K out of it running soup, Mac's stack, then Moonshine... I was real easy on it too. I'm upgrading to an SCIV. I thought about going V, but it was 2K more than the parts I needed. So far only three c2s and 3 c3s were fried. The rest only have wear and a little glaze here and there.

I think so too, after you switched to some good tuning it actually lasted a lot longer than it would have.................:rofl:

I spent a day filing and sanding splines that were nicked up. I put that thing through 160K of hell.
The trans went out in a blaze of glory...
My neighbors have two PSDs and think they're badass. The wont race me even with a stock tune. Well they knew my trans was on it's way out since I had it out for the converter failier. I went out for a testg run and they left at the same time in their 7.3. we got on the hwy and they were wanting to race. I thought 'f--- it, this thing is done anyway' and went for it. Needless to say, when the smoke cleared they were wayy behind me and slowning down. Then they pulled over. I went up the road a few miles and turned around. When I came back they were still there. I turned back and went to see what was up. Turned out the trans was toast and it would barely move. I towed them home. I made two trips to NOLA (280 round trip) before it trew in the cards.
Believe it or not I drove Babe into the shop to pull the trans.
At 200K this thing is running better than ever. The SCIV / Moonshine combo is smmoooth.
I pulled a truck on my flat bed today and my buddy said this is the fastest his truck has ever been...
