I am reinstalling the transmission in my 2005 lly I am having trouble getting the torque converter to seat all the way in just wondering if theres any tricks to it. also from doing this on other trucks I assumed the converter had to "click" on three times.. Am I wrong because if it is only twice I'm going to feel awfully stupid any help would be great thank you

No tricks, just a lot of balls. It can be tough to get that bastard in all the way. Just remember that after you think it is all the way in; there must be at least 1/8 inch play ( drawing the converter to flex plate ) when bell housing bolts are tight. If not, pull it back out.

Does the converter need to lock in three times or just two because it does seem far enough in just very confused...

That's a tricky question.
You have 2 sets of splines and a pump to line up before the converter is all the way in. If 2 of those are line up by chance; you will only feel 2 clunks. Every once in a while all 3 will be lined up and the bugger will slide in like there's nothing there.
