Alright so I have a few questions going into all this, I'd like to get my info befor I commit to it all so any more help and insight is appreciated. Like I've stated befor i had a 05 intake with hypertec tuner and 5inch straight pipe.....my newer truck is a 08 bone stock, exhaust is ready for replacing and the truck is basically at 100k miles, so I've been weighing all my options between exhaust size and tuners and so on... I've come to the conclusion I think I wanna go with efi live and kinda "support" the forum and so on, I'm from upstate ny... I don't have any background with efi live, so my question kinda is I'd like to kinda get a guy that's gonna plan on tuning the truck or maps for the truck or whatever need be, I'd like to see the tuners take on which exhaust size weather it matters or not, I don't wanna lift the heads or anything crazy just intake and exhaust with a reliable tune, also in my other thread mentioned a turbine brake to add to the tune? And another question is tow haul mode and If I put a tuner on the truck how with putting tunes on the truck affect the tow haul mode..? Do you just not use it or? And exhuast size I'm thinking between 4 and 5 muffled or most Likly resonated... Thoughts and additional opinions on all the above? Thanks

I am looking at a tune and exhaust also. I am going with a 5" because the velocity is supposed to be lower and that will present a more pleasant tone. :thumb:

Contact any one of the supporting tuners for getting you setup on EFI Live, they're all good. The tuner will be able to add a turbine brake to whichever tunes you want, basically hit a certain rpm and have no throttle input and closes the turbo vanes.

Tunes will not affect tow/haul mode. You will still put the truck in tow/haul as usual whenever you typically use it. Turbine brake works really good in tow/haul mode.

Picking a 5" exhaust over 4" isn't going to make or break the head gaskets. I started with a 4" turbo back kit from MBRP with muffler. I found that at highway speeds it resonated. I decided to switch things up and went with a flo-pro 5" turbo back with no muffler and find it doesn't resonate.
