Hey everyone, I’ve had the truck in my sig listed on craigslist for a few weeks. 02ccsb SLT 4x4. Put pads, rotors, calipers, and a new front end under it then went to change the injectors. Decided to do glow plugs since I had a new set laying around and broke 2-3 off in the heads. Out came the motor and it’s been sitting for the last few years. A guy got ahold of me yesterday and offered me $1200 for just the cab which I didn’t think was too bad but I have no clue what any of this stuff is worth (actually said he knows a guy who knows a guy that has one for sale for $1200). It’s a pretty typical 16 year old truck from Ohio with the rockers rotted off. Another guy wanted the stock wheels but I told them both at this time I hadn’t really considered parting it out. Is $1200 for just the cab fair? And $40-50 for the wheels fair? I don’t know how to post pictures but I can send the CL link which has a few. Any feedback is appreciated Incase I decide to go this route.

If he offered you $1200 for a rotted cab, then what are you waiting for?

Look on car-part.com or on craigslist for comparisons.

No kidding. Considering he'd have $3k+ to have it fixed professionally. If the interior is nice, maybe he's buying it for that? A good tcase with the pump kit already installed will go $500+, trans might go for $800, front diff and brackets $400+ last time I was searching. Hardest part to sell is going to be the frame

Thanks for the replies guys. I figured $1200 was very reasonable and am considering going that route. I agree hybrid, Ive never parted a vehicle out and figured there would be some stuff I’m stuck with that I’d ultimately have to scrap. Would $12-1500 be Acceptable for a complete LB7 with 275k or so? Except the one head that has an iffy glow plug hole.
