Hello all, I'm new to this site and like to give a big a hello. Im really excited that i ordered a new 2017 sierra 3500 Denali. But i have a questions that you guys maybe able to answer and or help.. I currently have a 2014 sierra 1500 6.2L did many mods to it and just need some advice in the diesel world. First diesel ever. So id liked to do a 5-7.5" lift to fit either 35's or 37's.. i do plan on pulling a goose neck trailer, and plowing.. Ive seen another member on here djreversa that has a similar setup. Any suggestions on which one and what height. Id also like to put in a exhaust cut out valve before all that exhaust filter and emissions stuff to achieve some noise, not a fan of quite trucks, does this sort of trick the computer or will it cause problems.
Thank you all,
Michael

4" lift on 33's would be clean and practical and would maintain some ride quality and is more likely to require no cutting for install. Plus you won't risk getting the "spongy" feeling while towing down the highway. Just my two cents

Anyhow Welcome to DD!

6" with a GN and you're pushing the limits. 35's on a 4" are doable with the factory wheels if you want to go that route. Depending on brand you buy.., the 4" can be a 4-6" kit with addition of UCA's and block. My 17 2500 was 4" higher in the rear, I'm guessing yours would be similar. A 1-2" block would get you where you want to be.

thank you, i was thinking about that as well with a six inch, but I've seen people with a 3-4 lift on a ford which is close to a 6inch gm imo, i am also doing 24's hostile alpha's.. that should take away a lot of tire sway while trailering, i guess I'm more worried about the trailer actually clearing the bed rails, and also worried about the angle of the plow being at 6 inch's, i was told to get a 7.5 and just make the front axle close to parallel to the ground which is around a 5inch lift. i already have 33's on 22's on my 1500 with just a 3" inch lift way to small, trying to achieve 37's but will settle for 35's.

I run 35x12.50's r22's on my 16. Never ever rubs. With a 6" lift you could clear 37 easy. Just make sure you get fox 2.0's for shocks, they make them ride wayyy better.

yea guess I'm stuck with a quite truck for the first time ever, used to love that sound of diesel idling with that whistle.. Any problems with he fabtech lifts, I'm really liking the 6", but it says 5 3/4" BS and only 10 rim width, I'm looking at a 24x11 with 6" BS. do you think they'd fit?

are there any programers out there for the l5p?, would like to use it for tire ratio as well as some performance gains. and any air intakes available yet?

Dealer can do a tire size recal for you but as far as programmers there aren't any yet and probably won't be for a while
Not sure on intakes
