Questions about wastegate setup

Last winter I built my motor and put an S465 on it. I have my truck in the shop at the moment refreshing the tranny. I was looking around my engine compartment and noticed my turbo was wet with oil on the center section. Upon further investigation I pulled the hose off of the compressor and there was oil in the silicone connector. The turbo is going to need rebuilt and it only has 10,000 miles on it. The highest boost I was able to record was 39lbs from an Attitude monitor. Would it be fair to say that excessive drive pressure caused this? I am running up pipes and a tubular style pedestal that I made out of 2" tubing I got from Profab. I know that i need to get gauges for boost and drive pressure, just haven't gotten to it yet. What type of wastegate setup should I use? Any and all help appreciated.

I just go back to Garrett with the best bearings available and the wheels to spec as close as possible. I have read so many things on Borgs only lasting XXX times or whatever it's not cheap to buy Garrett but Duramax uses them stock and that hangs tough in the book of the average truck's life. Just my look at it and will use a Garrett when I twin my truck with controlled drive pressure and just nice useable power beyond stock. I don't read about this close but like Garrett on my LBZ and what even just a lift pump and modded CP3 can bring it for go go.
