So Ive got my new nickataine oem fuel filter adapter and I'm gonna be putting on a Kennedy lift pump setup too.
I see that some people remove the internal check valve that is in the oem fuel filter due to a restriction it may or may not cause. I'm all for removing any restriction in the fuel system. However as I understand it that checks purpose is to prevent the fuel from draining out from the ficm and cp3 lines when changing the filter. My concern would then be that I can not bleed the air that is introduced into those lines without modifying those lines and adding a bleed to the tap near the alternator. And if i didn't every time I fired it up after a fuel filter change it would cause wear on the cp3 and injectors by pushing air thru them.
Or am I wrong does the check valve actually keep the fuel from draining back into the tank by introducing air into those lines which is no biggy it would just require a little more effort to purge the lines when changing filters.
Thanx for your help
