Hey guys, long time member but I rarely post as the knowledge on this forum can get intimidating! Anyways, I have a 02 LB7 with 269k miles on it. The trucks been parked for a few months while I've been saving money to do the injectors. I helped my brother do injectors in his 02 about 6 years ago but now it's my turn. I began tearing the truck apart today around 2:30 and by 7:30 I have everything off the top of the motor, and the upper and lower valve covers off the passenger side. The upper valve cover is also off the drivers side but I can remember the lower one giving us issues back along the firewall so I decided to stop and wait till I get some help. I've got a friend who is going to loan me the tool to pull the injectors. My main question is, with 269k miles on the truck, what else If anything should I look to replace while I have everything apart? I just have a lot of anxiety. Are the factory injector cups fine if they don't come out? Or should I pull and replace? I was also wondering what to so about the return lines and the feed lines that screw to the injector from the fuel rail? If anyone can think of anything let me know. When I did my cp3 pump 4 or 5 years ago I replaced all the rubber lines that connected to it because they started to crack. I've heard the stories about return lines leaking after an injector job so I know to keep an eye on those. I feel pretty comfortable tearing It apart and reassembling it but I'm worried I'll leave something out that needs replaced. Thanks to everyone in advance for the help.

Check valve adjustment while your in there, you can clean your HP lines with CLR cleaner. Let us know if you need any parts throughout the job.

Thanks, I forgot to add that I'll adjust the valves while I got the covers off. My main concern were the cups with almost 270k miles and the metal feed lines that go from the rail to the injector. Do people normally clean those and reuse or buy new?

Thanks, I'm going to research the cups some. I've heard plenty of stories of people doing injectors and knocking a cup or 2 loose and having to go back inside to reseal them. I'm just curious to know if they wear out over time.
