You were on 3 different platforms. First one is your front axle. Second is your back axle. Third is your trailer axle(s).

When you add up the first 3 numbers, you get your Combined Vehicle Weight, which is listed as Gross Weight.

Your numbers look OK in my opinion, but up near the limit on the rear tires. Dunno about trailer axle/tires.

Make sure your rears are at 80PSI and are E rated.

Your tongue weight is up there, about 20%. You might move a few hundred lb aft a bit to get rear axle below 6000.

EDIT: DOH! Bad math. Your trailer weighs about 15000, and about 3000 of tongue. This is based on your rear being 3100 unladen. That's 20%. You should find out what your rear axle weighs without the trailer to get tongue weight.

Hitch weight is supposed to be 2750, advertised trailer weight around 13,500 or so dry but a few things loaded in front cargo hold. And 3/4 tank fuel in truck .Tires are rated e @ 3,750 or so each door sticker says about 6,850 for rear axel. Trailer axels (3) rated @ 6,500 each. Usualy I have a 680lb Harley in the back, but this is the base weight for me empty. When I load it up I know I'll put around 1,500 more lbs in it.

your over GVWR, and both axle ratings. Should have got a dually :D

I thought the rear axle max ratings on the 2500's was 6080.. not 6850..

Axel load rating Is 4860 front and 6084 rear so only over on rear just a little. When I load the rear of toyhauler it should be a little lighter. It handles and stops great even at 75/80 mph. Lol:woott::woott:

Just use common sense when driving, take your time, and check your rig out before every trip.

You are near the limits, but many guys run significantly past the limits. I know our bumper pull race trailer can pork out at over 14k which is overloading the pickup.

A rear tire failure can ruin your whole weekend. Trust me on that one, got the t-shirt.

inless you have money to throw away, talk to your INS co. about your trailer and the weights, If you get into a accident the cops might give you a overgross citation and the INS company will try to get out of paying for your rig. I know this for a fact because my neighbor lost his 05 CTD and 45ft toyhauler, since we are a no-fault state our INS company pay for own own vehicle in accident.

The rear axle is rated at 6084 because of the stock tires. Single wheel 1 tons have a higher rating, and the biggest difference between them is the tires and the springs. You've already upgraded the tires. You can add some air bags, and I think you'll be fine.

I know the trailer is over about 2,000lbs what I should be towing.
I got rid of the airbags, they held the weight great but for handling they did nothing/the jerking back and forth. So I put the Roadmaster Active suspension springs back on and now it handles great. You can ask my wife I'm very anal about having tire pressure and no tire over 3 yrs old no matter how much tread is left. Just bought new tires for the truck when the old ones still had atleast 20,000 left on them, but I'm not going to chance it with the weight I tow.

Should it be towed with DRW. Yes, but it is what it is. Got a deal I could not refuse. Bought it 1yr old 09 for 35,000 that is about 5,000 under wholesale. Had another dealer offer me 40,000 for it. 399.00 a month I jumped on it.
