If I were to sell my 2002 dually, what could I expect to get as it sits. Truck is in good mechanical shape except it needs injectors. I would say all 8 since I dont have the ability to diagnose it any farther than I have at this time. It might be for sale here shortly.

I can tell you that it will knock off at least the cost of an injector job which is a pretty huge hunk.

Find a used set of injectors off EBAY or any forum going rate is around $500. And I bet you can have some one install them for less then $500. I would imagine with it fixed you would be able to bring 20k for it with that low of miles.

I seriously doubt you are going to get a good set of LB7 Injectors Installed for 1k....JMHO...

I do agree you would be better off fixing it then selling it broke though. The way it sits, being a 02, needing Injectors and possibly a G80 I would say you are closer to the 13k range to sell it. Fixed should be somewere in the 17 to 19k range..

Book time is what most shops use and to replace "nozzelz, and or seals" is 12.7 and add .2 for replacing sleeves. 13 hr @ $80 per hr is $1040.00 just in labor. Here we go with unknown used ebay stuff again, what if 1 or all don't work? Will the seller pay for the job the second time?
I say as clean as it looks in his avatar pic probably around $13,000-$16,000 as is if everything else is as nice. Its a beautiful looking truck.

I know plenty of guys that would do it for $500 probably less book time is we will say 13 rounded up it doesn't take the that long for most guys that are good. Most guys will do side jobs and not charge shop rates which around here are even higher then $80. The couple guys I know do it in about 8 hours times that by $50 (just to be high most guys on a side job around here will work for what they get paid per hour) and thats $400 only. I have seen sets go on ebay for $500 all the time. People wreck these trucks and they salvage all the parts. (Yes its a risk but if they have been flow tested its a risk I would take)

Also have to look at there is a 05 gmc cc dually on here think 200k area looks good ready to go and he can not give it away for 14,500. Seems like the market is dry on duallys I know I would have the 05 if I had the spare cash right now. Good luck with what you do.

200k-60k is a huge huge difference. If it was my money i would spend 5k more on a 02 with only 60k miles in heart beats but thats JMHO. Matter how clean the 200k miles truck is most people do not want something with that many miles on any vehicle unless its a semi or maybe a 12v cummins.

This is were eastcoast and westcoast comes into play. You will not find anyone that can do the job right for 500.00 it will be hacked up. It's seems the guys on the westcoast make better money then eastcoast and there side jobs can payless.

Also most are going to look at 3 years newer. Don't have lb7 injectors to mess with on the lly truck. Have to look at all the angles.

I could see the years difference to a certain point but most people are not going to know the lb7 issues and notice a difference when looking at a 02 to a 05 IMO. But as stated before IMO i would rather spend extra on a older truck but will 140k miles less. 140k miles less miles but 3 years older still would make 5k difference up in my book.

The front end changed alot from 02 to 05 on the chevy. I had a 01 8.1 inlived that front more then the 06 I have now.

I personally would never advise anyone to do this to their truck, let alone to then foist it off on someone else. You have no idea what those "used" injectors were like.

Shaun, you could do the injectors yourself if you wanted to. About $1600 or so in parts. Its a time consuming job, but pretty straightforward.

Tom that was the plan, but time wasnt on my side. With my living situation things are dificult. We have 4 vehicles but 2 of them have plows and salters mounted so they cant be left unattended in a parking lot around here, not to mention they only seat 2, then we have the Suburban and the Dooley. Dooleys broke that means we have one vehicle to get around. If the suburban isnt home and the kids are then noone can go anywhere. We tried to have just one vehicle for me and my wife and one for my parents, but that didnt work. Now we have the 05 3500 dump, the 06 3500 dump, the 00 2500 suburban, and the broken 02 3500 CC, and..... the 04 2500 Yukon XL. Just got back from the car lot. Ill get some pictures tomorrow, but the 3500 is going to stay around for now.
