question on trans swap

Will a trans out of a 04.5 lly work in a 2002 lb7 I know the trans line adaptors will need to be changed anything else?

I believe they should bolt right up. I know the 01 had a different bell housing but it may be 02 also.

Just put the NSBU switch from the 02 on the new trans with the trans line adapters and you should be good to go.

Okay thanks mike. Now what about putting the stock trans out of the lb7 back into the lly?

Need to reflash to a 2001-2003 TCM operating system so its not looking for the G-solenoid (which wont be there on the LB7 trans). If you run a stock 04-05 TCM OS with an LB7 trans, you'll have a check engine light.

Some late 2004 LB7's did have the G-solenoid on the valve body though.

I have an 03 trans in my 05. It only throws an engine light for the g solenoid until I get around to changing the tcm OS
