I was doing some old sticker removal off the back window of my truck when I noticed what looked like a little rust spot upon further inspection it was a little rust spot apparently a tiny little piece of metal the size of a grain of sand had rusted no big deal I scraped it off, but there was a little divit in the glass, looking at the rest of the window there was little pieces of metal some rusted some not all within 6" of the centerline of where the stack would of been, all of them left divits.

I cant think of what else it could have been the stacks been off for 7 months or so, there doesnt appear to be these little metal specs on the roof or anywhere else. Anyone else with stacks experience this?

sounds like someone used a grinder in the area. I had this same thing happen when I was replacing the roof on my horse trailer.... didnt even think about the sparks leaving metal in the window. could be from grinding or wire wheeling

Damn never occured to me until now I was thinking the only thing It could have been was shavings from cutting the pipe and having them blow out but they would never have been grain of sand small. But yeah I had a cut off wheel on my angle grinder when I cut the intermediate stack pipe off, I cut it so close to the bed floor I didnt think it'd be an issue at the time. How they got up on the window is puzzling but I'd say that must have done it with 99% assuredy now.
